The proposed new and reconstructed concrete sidewalk will run along Fitchville Road (CT Route 608) for approximately 3,800 linear feet providing access to community assets. It will begin at the intersection of Haughton Road and continue easterly and end near the Bozrah Post Office. The project will be handicap accessible and will include safety features including pathway lighting and flashing pedestrian beacons at crosswalks. The project will be primarily located in the State of Connecticut right-of-way with limited land acquisition.
The project is in the semi-final design phase and is currently estimated to cost $1,583,000, funded through LOTCIP (Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program), administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
It is the policy of the Town of Bozrah and the State of Connecticut to keep the Public informed and involved to assist the development of this project.
