Summer Hours

Summer Hours Begin - May 17, 2023

  • Monday: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 2:30pm to 7:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am to 3:00pm

Winter Hours

Winter Hours Begin - October 15, 2023

  • Monday: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am to 3:00pm


Plastic bags and hangers should not be put in recycling.  

Styrofoam should not be put in Singlestream, (even if it has the recycle triangle).  All styrofoam should go in Household trash or Bulky Waste Dumpster.  

Used paper towels and used napkins are not recyclable, they go in the trash. Anything going into the recycle bin must be emptied and rinsed out.

Town of Bozrah Transfer Station Fees

Transfer Station Sticker $50 Per Calendar Year (Not Pro-Rated)

Pay As You Throw (Yellow Bags)*

  • Large $15 (10 per roll)
  • Small $7.50 (10 per roll)

Household Trash Only

*Transfer Station Attendants will randomly check yellow bags for content

The following bulky waste items require a $20 fee per piece:

  • Air Conditioners
  • Auto Metal Parts (Any and All)
  • Bed Frames, Head and Foot Boards
  • Box Spring
  • Dishwashers
  • Dryer
  • Freezers
  • Refrigerators
  • Sofas and Love Seats
  • Stoves
  • Stuffed Chairs
  • Toilets
  • Tubs and Showers
  • Washing Machines
  • Water Heaters
  • Water Tanks

Miscellaneous

  • Propane Tanks: $5
  • Carpeting: $5 to 30
  • Hot Tubs: $20 to 50
  • Toilets/Sinks: $5
  • Tarps/Pool Liners: $5 to $20
  • Dehumidifier: $10
  • Ottoman: $5
  • Sectionals: $40

You must have a building permit from the Town of Bozrah to dispose of any type of building or demolition material (I.e. Sheetrock, siding, asphalt or wood roofing, or scrap lumber)

Small amounts of bulky waste: any disposal/volume larger than one-half standard garbage can into the bulky waste container will be a minimum $5 charge. This will be upcharged incrementally as assessed by the Transfer Station Attendant until reaching the amount of:

  • Pickup truck bed load (Non-Heaping/Level with sides): $50
  • Mason dump load (Non-Heaping/Level with sides): $100*

*Larger trucks or dump trailers will not be allowed. A local disposal site is available on Stockhouse Road for such volume.
