The office of the Registrar of Voters is governed by the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut. The Office is administered jointly by a Democratic and a Republican Registrar. The Registrars are responsible for maintaining up to date records of eligible voters, supervising elections, primaries and referendums, voting machine and polling place preparation, poll worker hiring and training, a yearly canvas of registered voters, special voter registration sessions and other duties as required by Connecticut Election Law as governed by the Election Division of the Secretary of the State.
REGISTER TO VOTE (WITH A VALID CT DRIVERS LICENSE)
TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN CONNECTICUT YOU MUST:
Be a United States citizen
Be a resident of a Connecticut town
Be at least 17 years old (must turn 18 on or before election day); 17 year olds, who will turn 18 on or before election day, may participate in general primary
Have completed confinement if previously convicted of a disenfranchising felony
IF YOU MOVE:
You must fill out a new voter registration card if you have moved to a new town or a new address within town.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES FOR NEW VOTERS :
PRIMARY: Your application must be submitted by the 5th day before a primary (OR received by your Registrar of Voters or a voter registration agency by the 5th day before a primary). You may apply in person with the town clerk or registrar until 12:00 noon on the last business day before a primary.
ELECTION: Your application must be submitted or received by a voter registration agency by the 7th day before an election (OR you may register in person with your Registrar of Voters by the 7th day before an election)
ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION: You may register to vote and vote on election day in the Registrars of Voters office from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Election Day if you reside in Bozrah and are not a registered voter in Bozrah.
November 7, 2023 Municipal Election Information
The November 7, 2023 Municipal Election will be held at Fields Memorial School, 8 Bozrah Street Extension, from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM in the school cafeteria. All registered voters may vote at the polling place within the posted hours. To verify you are registered to vote in Bozrah click here. If you are not registered in Bozrah, you may register here, or fill out a voter registration card and mail or drop off at the Bozrah Town Hall. See above for additional information.
